Sommer’s Bridge – Restored camelback bridge

Join us for a 2.5-mile round-trip walk that follows the towpath between the Scudder Falls Bridge and the town of Yardley with lunch at the Yardley Inn.

We will pass bridges, a spillway, a lock, and an aqueduct as we enter the town of Yardley. Hear about the construction of the Woodside Road complex, the restoration of the Sommer’s Bridge, and the planned aqueduct and wastegate construction—a variety of canal features packed into a short distance.

Our lunch will be at the historic Yardley Inn. Situated on the Delaware, this scenic spot is a favorite of locals and tourists alike. You will have a choice of several tasty selections lunch served with seasonal vegetables and dessert.
