Join the Friends at Mill Fleurs (pun intended) in Point Pleasant, PA on Sunday, May 4th, 2025 at 4:00 PM for this exclusive event.
Celebrate milling in the Delaware Valley, share our history, and enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, a light supper, wine and fabulous desserts.
Experience ‘adaptive re-use’ in the Tiffany’s 1742 Mill along the Tohickon Creek.
We are so fortunate to have a historic working grist mill, owned by Fran and Mark Fischer, as close as Doylestown – and even more fortunate to have Mark explain how these historic mills were constructed and operated. We will enjoy home-made bread made from the Fischer’s grain with our supper.
Charlie Yeske, President of the international Society for the Preservation of Old Mills (SPOOM), will share with us the history of mills along the Tohickon Creek, monopolized by the industrious Stover family. As many as twenty-nine mills were operated along the Delaware River Valley by the Stovers who were instrumental in expanding the remarkable industry and prosperity of our area.
Proceeds from this event will help fund the Friends’ immediate priorities.
Members: $150 Interested Not-Yet Members: $165. Attendance is limited to 50 people, so we suggest you make your reservations soon.
