Flora and Fauna Atlas
What Lives in and Along the Delaware Canal?
The Delaware Canal State Park is well known for many things:
- its role in America’s history
- its many recreational uses
- its scenic beauty.
But it is not nearly as well recognized as an outstanding habitat for a wide variety of living things.
This on-line Flora and Fauna Atlas is a step toward making the Canal’s natural virtues better known. It includes a Photo Gallery, three Canal Maps (north, central, south) that show the locations of sightings, and a Resource List to help with identification.
You can help establish the atlas by observing, recording, and submitting photos and information about the living things that you find in and along the Canal.
The Flora and Fauna Atlas was developed with grant funding from the Bucks County Conference and Visitors Bureau.
